Born in the Dominican Republic, Yudelkys Rodriguez De Vargas turned her personal immigration experience into a lifelong mission—championing the rights of immigrants with resilience, empathy, and legal expertise. She overcame language and cultural barriers, mastering English as her second language and navigating the complexities of the American legal system. Her unwavering determination and deep personal connection to the immigrant experience fuel her commitment to advocating for those seeking to reunite with their families, escape persecution, or rebuild their lives after experiencing abuse, crime, or exploitation.

As the proud sole owner of her immigration law firm in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Yudelkys is known for her compassionate approach and relentless dedication to her clients. Yudelkys earned her Juris Doctor from The Dickinson School of Law at Pennsylvania State University in 2019, with a concentration in Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution. She served as President of the Latinx Law Students Association and received the 2019 Outstanding Law Student Award from the National Association of Women Lawyers.

She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, cum laude, from John Jay College of Criminal Justice (CUNY) and completed significant legal coursework at the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

Yudelkys has worked extensively with a nonprofit organization in Pennsylvania, providing legal representation to immigrants and their families—especially those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. John Alvarado Toro

John Alvarado Toro is a dedicated immigration paralegal at YRV Law in Allentown, bringing resilience, leadership, and a deep commitment to advocacy to his work. Originally from Puerto Rico, John moved to the United States at age twenty, facing the challenges of adapting to a new language and culture while supporting his non-English-speaking parents.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Penn State Lehigh Valley, where he distinguished himself as a leader. He served as President of the Hispanic and Latinx Association, founded the Criminal Justice Club, and played a key role in establishing its bylaws and constitution. His dedication to education extended to tutoring Spanish, fostering an inclusive learning environment on campus.

John’s passion for justice and immigrant rights led him to the legal field, where he was recruited as a paralegal during his junior year. At YRV Law, he drafts legal motions, translates critical legal documents, and supports attorneys handling immigration and asylum cases. He also helped connect the university’s Criminal Justice department with private law firms to create internship opportunities for students. Graduated with high honors, John exemplifies perseverance and the transformative power of education. He remains committed to advocating for equitable immigration policies and ensuring that every client receives the legal support they deserve.
